    Answers:
  1. What IS this site all about?
FriendNotForgotten.com is a site dedicated to helping people find each other. If you have lost touch with someone and would like to reconnect, and if that person wants to get together again with you, too, then we will try to get the two of you back in touch.
  2. How does this site work?
Quite simply, actually. You give us the name of the friend with whom you'd like to reconnect, and you provide some basic information about the nature of your friendship (approximate year when you met, location, etc.), and if that information matches with someone in our system who is also looking for you, we will notify you both. Complete details about our matching process are available here.
  3. What is my FriendNotForgotten "Search List"?
When you log in to the FriendNotForgotten site, you arrive at your "Search List" page. Your FriendNotForgotten "Search List" is the list of people with whom you would like to reconnect. You add one person at a time to your list by clicking on the appropriate button.
  4. Who are my FriendNotForgotten "Prospects"?
Your FriendNotForgotten Prospects are all of the people registered on our site who are on your Search List AND whose search lists include you. We call them "Prospects" because even though the two of you match based on our (limited) criteria, the certainty that the match was correct has yet to be established. We hope that our success rate is very high, but if you have a very common name (e.g., "John Smith"), we might well find Prospects for you that prove not to be your friend not forgotten.
  5. Do I get informed when someone I seek is in your system but that person is not looking for me?
No, not currently. You will not know of any friends on our system unless that friend also seeks you. Likewise, that person will not know that you are seeking her or him. At some point, we might change this policy and enable "uni-directional" matches. We welcome your feedback on this issue.
  6. Is it possible to find out about a friend who is looking for me but who is not on my search list?
No, not currently. If someone lists you as a friend they seek, you will not know that that person is looking for you unless you also list them as someone you seek. Likewise, a person who seeks you will not know that you are on our system unless you also seek them. At some point, we might change this policy and enable "uni-directional" matches. We welcome your feedback on this issue.
  7. Is there any cost to register or get matched with our friends?
No. Our service is completely free.
  8. How private is the information I provide? Do you share the information with anyone?
The only personal information that we ask you for is your full name (first and last) and your year of birth. This information is needed for us to match you with the friends you seek. We use it only for that purpose. We absolutely, positively do not intend to share the information you provide with any outside sources, agencies, companies, or government entities.
  9. Where can I see a copy of the Terms and Conditions for use of this site?
    Right here.
  10. I have some specific suggestions that I think will make your site better. Are you interested in hearing them?
Absolutely! Please contact us and give us your suggestions. We want to make this site as good as it can possibly be.
